Tons of plastic trash find their way to our water bodies as a result of the “throw away” mentality that crept into our lives and wormed its way into the heart of our society.
I believe therefore that for our plastic problem to be solved we must first change our mind set as a collective. And this must be complemented by multiple actions for there is no one single solution to our plastic problem. However, behavior modification will take time but we can start with the multiple actions already.
Nik’s PlasticPlug is a welcome addition to the plethora of solutions available to us now as it captures the plastic trash before it reaches the ocean with no carbon footprint and then processes them in materials recovery facility (MRF) for recycling.
